Steven Berkoff brings his adaptation of Sophocles's greatest Greek tragedy to Liverpool Playhouse. Jaunty romance it isn't, Oedipus tells the tale of a mythical king fulfilling a terrible prophecy. Probably not a first-date kind of thing.
